Bogdanovich Glacier is a popular destination near Almaty. Yet behind its beautiful scenery lies a troubling reality: the glacier, like many others in Central Asia, is rapidly melting. Along with it, the reserves of freshwater are disappearing — resources on which the sustainable future of the entire region depends.
