GCF in Central and West Asia: Building Climate Resilience. Glacier to Farm Programme

Climate change is rapidly melting glaciers, disrupting water supply and threatening lives.

With a total project value of USD 3.5 billion, GCF's new Glacier to Farm Programme in Central and West Asia, in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), is one of the largest climate action adaptation initiatives of its kind in the world.

The program supports risk-based decision making for governments, early warning systems, and infrastructure to use melting glacier water to support food security and livelihoods for vulnerable communities.
