POLARIN Second Transnational Access Call to Polar Research Infrastructures
POLARIN opens its second Transnational Access call from 1 September to 30 October 2025, allowing free remote or in-person access to 64 Arctic/Antarctic research infrastructures. Application is via a web portal, with one proposal per call and decisions announced March 2026. The fully online format targets scientific teams seeking access to field stations, vessels, and data centers for polar and mountain cryosphere projects. Applications are open until 3 October 2025 for the Arctic Frontiers Emerging Leaders program, held in Northern Norway from 29 January to 5 February 2026 (offline, including leadership fieldwork and conference participation in Tromsø). This program is tailored for young professionals (non-students) focusing on Arctic adaptation, policy, and cross-sector links, including parallels with mountain cryosphere challenges. Paper submissions are not required; selection is based on motivation letters.
