President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed climate challenges, recalling the negative consequences of the Aral Sea drying and announcing that by 2030, 80% of its bottom will be covered with green plantations.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan emphasized water resource scarcity and announced Uzbekistan's plans to host a World Forum on Water Conservation, where a roadmap for implementing innovative technologies in this sphere will be adopted.

The President also proposed creating regional platforms under UN auspices, including a regional hub for "green" technologies.
