President Sadyr Japarov addressed the vulnerability of Kyrgyzstan as a mountainous country particularly threatened by glacier melting and water resource reduction.

He emphasized the interconnectedness of ecosystems "from mountains to ocean" and called for using annual trillion-dollar military expenditures "to improve people's lives and protect ecology."

The president announced plans to host the Bishkek+25 international summit in 2027, dedicated to sustainable development of mountain regions. President Japarov also stressed that agricultural and biodiversity threats require urgent global cooperation and sustainable solutions.
