An international team from the PAMIR Project successfully drilled ice cores at 5,800 meters altitude on the Kon Chukurbashi ice cap in Tajikistan.

The expedition retrieved two cores exceeding 100 meters in length, which will provide valuable insights into climate history and help scientists understand regional climate patterns over centuries.
